Terms of Service

The terms governing your school's use of the Educore platform.

1. Agreement to terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between your school or institution ("School", "you") and MaveriQ Technologies ("Educore", "we", "us") governing your access to and use of the Educore platform and related services (the "Services"). By creating an account or using the Services, you agree to these Terms.

2. Accounts & roles

The School is responsible for the accounts it creates for administrators, teachers, parents and students, for assigning appropriate roles, and for all activity under those accounts. You agree to keep login credentials secure and to promptly remove access for staff who leave.

3. The Services

  • Manage admissions, students, staff, classes and timetables.
  • Collect school fees (including via M-PESA), record payments and generate statements.
  • Record attendance and exam results and generate CBC and 8-4-4 report cards.
  • Communicate with parents and staff by SMS and email.

4. Fees & payment

Subscription fees are as set out in your plan or agreement, billed per the agreed schedule. Transaction-related charges for fee collection (where applicable) are disclosed separately. We may adjust pricing with prior notice.

5. The School's responsibilities

  • Obtain any necessary consents from parents/guardians for processing student data.
  • Ensure information entered (marks, fees, records) is accurate.
  • Use the Services lawfully and in the interests of learners.

6. Data ownership

Your school's data remains yours. We process it on your behalf to provide the Services, and will make it available for export on reasonable request. See our Privacy Policy for how data is handled.

7. Suspension & termination

We may suspend access for non-payment, misuse, or legal requirement. You may end your subscription per your agreement; on termination we will provide a reasonable window to export your data before deletion.

8. Liability

The Services are provided on a commercially reasonable basis. To the extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability is limited as set out in your agreement, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Kenya, and disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of its courts.
